                                      Lab 18: To configure Amazon Simple Email-service(SES)

Objective:

To configure and use Simple Email service(SES)

Topology:

Pre-Requites:

User Should have AWS account , or IAM user with Amazon SES Fullcccess

To configure SES with following  task:

provide valid mail Account

verify Email Account

Configure SMTP settings

Download the credentials,keep at safe palce

Configure Mail client for eg outlook

To use Amazon simple Service (SES)

1. create SES account 

From the AWS console select service "Messaging ",choose SES service 

From SES Home ,panel

select "Email Addresses"

select "verify a new Email Address "button

In "verify a New Email Address ".Wizard provide email id

Click "verify this Email address"button

2. Now login to your companies mail account ,to confirm your email address 

Click on"confirm the address using this URL.This link expires 24 hours after your original verification request".

Go back to your Amazon Console ,select SES service

Under SES home dashboard select "Email Address"

Check your email is verified

Note:

If mail is not received check in spam box ,you should have a valid email id

3.To configure ''SMTP settings"

From SES home panel

Select "SMTP setting"

Click on "Create My SMTP credentials"button

Default  IAM user Name will be provided

Click on Create button

User SMTP "security credentials" will be dispalyed

click "Download credentials" keep at safe place

verify credentials

open outlook

Click Add Account

select Manual setup

Select POP or IMAP,click on next

provide following details

provide following details in outgoing server

provide following details in Advance

Verify successfully connected
